Adding Two Algebraic Expressions in "Addition Environment"
Help students increase their understanding of the addition of algebraic expressions by visualizing the operation in this Virtual Tiles mode.

First the student drags tiles representing two expressions from the left into the dark "working area". In this example, the top group of tiles represents the first addend and the lower group of tiles represents the second addend.

The student may now combine like terms, either by clicking and dragging tiles or by choosing "Group Like Tiles" from the options menu. Calculations can be checked by clicking the "Show Algebra" box which gives the mathematical expression for the tiles chosen.
